Load into a new world with only 'Immersive Portals (for Forge)' in Creative or with cheats on
Use the /locate minecraft:stronghold command
Use Spectator mode and click the locate command to teleport to that location
Locate the End Portal
Either use /give @s minecraft:ender_eye 12 or use the creative inventory to get enough Eyes of Ender to activate the portal, and do so
Look through the portal
alternatively:
Load into a new world on an instance with only 'Immersive Portals (for Forge)' in Creative or with cheats on
Use the command /give @s minecraft:end_portal_frame 12 and /give @s minecraft:ender_eye 12
Build and activate an End Portal (the decorative flourishes need to be perpendicular to the portal area)
Look through the portal
What You Expected
How it looks in the Fabric version, with a lot of the End Island visible (at least after the chunks have loaded):
What Happened Instead
One time part of a pillar loaded, but not enough of the island to see the ground (looks like 3x3 chunks and didn't load any more after waiting a while) and it sometimes glitches back and forth between the ground being visible and not:
Most of the time it's just the 3x3 chunks and stops there:
When building the portal myself, one time doing that after I'd been to the stronghold and activated that one and then built another, the portal itself appeared off-target, which may have something to do with trying to activate it before with the blocks rotated 90 degrees from how they should be: (Unfortunately I haven't been able to reproduce this, but if I figure out how to reproduce it reliably, I'll leave a comment below or start a new issue.)
When built it also doesn't seem to want to load more than three chunks of ground either, but there's no glitching back and forth that I've noticed:
Additional Details
The portal still works great for going through and I've had no crashes - it's just sad to not be able to see more of the island. I figured I'd include the glitches I encountered here as well, in case that's helpful (since they seem related).
Thanks so much for all your work on porting this mod! I was very excited to see it show up in the list. 😄
