I’m having similar issues thought it was Homebridge so switched to hoobs and still nothing it was all working perfectly until I did updates to hoobs and Homebridge. Still trying to find a solution

iamcharles777 commented 2 years ago

@stair002 So its the hoobs getting issue?

stair002 commented 2 years ago

This is correct. I ended up getting it to work via home assistant. But now having different issues but thats mostly user error (different ui new platform so new learning)

But I would rather use either homebridge or hoobs either of those options would be perfect :)

iamcharles777 commented 2 years ago

@stair002 please post here if you found solution, Thank you

PelagicDev commented 1 year ago

@iamcharles777 did you ever get this working?

khammo01 commented 1 year ago

Same issue for me with just one device "Outlet" on Hoobs.

Update: never managed to find a solution so gave up on hoobs and HB. Now got everything working via HA and it hasn't skipped a beat.

I've got no coding skills what so ever but managed to get things working very easily with youtube tutorials and playing around. So far HA has been running for 6mths with no glitch.

My accessories: Tuya App Bunnings NZ 12x Arlec smart plugs 3 x Arlec smart bulbs 2 x Arlec smart LED battens 3 x Arlec smart panel heaters

Other accessories: 8 x wyze cameras 4 x smart tvs with google tv (veon brand) 3 x google chromes 1 x apple tv 2 x home pod mini's 2 x lifx bunch of aqara sensors (temp, contact) 2 x Govee LED strips (wifi/BT) 3 x nanoleaf 1 x Heatpump panasonic

Everything is all contected via native apps then linked into Home Assistant then added into Home app on my apple devices and then created dashboard on HA for a lenovo tab10 thats on my wall.

I do get minor delays when you press a buttons but nothing that would be annoying.

Sorry this isn't the answer everyone wanted but when you've looked for an answer and it doesnt want to work for you. you just have to find something else and for me personally HA tickets the box.

edit: I've also got HA using wyze cams to do face recognition and number plate recognition to create automations when i come home / leave..

charles07castillo commented 1 year ago

@stair002 not familiar with HA, can you link down any youtube or product ?

stair002 commented 1 year ago

Home Assistant: (Its free) just cost you hardware to run it https://www.home-assistant.io/

(I started with a pi and 32gb sd) but have now got a media server so running HA via a VM

Youtube playlist I've used and channels I follow https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLm0lbmMrOdpxN7xiOyN45aIvjM7S4ywSx

The coolest thing about HA is if your stuck a quick google search or youtube search and your bound to find the answer..

There are also a lot of community groups you can get help from. HA is pretty epic and its honestly up to the end user for how big or small their setup is. HA is neverending system that just works and if something doesnt work you can send a message through to the developer of the plugin and its fixed pretty quickly. HA is on regular updates and new features.

I've got everything linked to homekit easily too HA is pretty smart apon setup. If you have apple, google, alexa devices on your network it will show up asking you if you want to set it up with HA

And having cameras that aren't IOS approved (wyze) being able to work on Homekit is awesome. Even chrome controls on homekit. (But i do have mention after being able to create my own dashboard thats personalised, I hardly ever use Homekit) I only use Homekit for the automations as I find using Home+ app easy to use and understand.

Sorry this is an all over the place reply hahaha.

Thanks for the tip… I installed Home Assistant on an old laptop. It’s been a lot of work and a big learning curve but starting to get Home Assistant operational and lots of power here. Helps if you know YAML and stuff and like reading lots of documentation – it’s all very well documented

You are correct about it being a learning curve. I don't understand yaml at all hahaha but would copy and post other peoples yaml files into my HA then edit it until my stuff worked lol..

I found youtube very helpful for a lot of things and still do. HA is pretty much the same as having contorl4 in away but instead of someone coming in and doing it all for you HA is a DIY system.

HA community are really good too. I found a quy in my city who is pretty on to it with yaml stuff so I tend to pick his brain every now and then.
