when creating a HUGO website with hugo new site a bunch of folders are created
I kept them because I didn't know what to do with them but in the end they seem to be useless
Their only purpose is to "override" some files of the hugo theme we use and to do so we have to have the same layout which is not even the case right now (except for the content folder which is how we inject our articles in the theme)
In the end these folders are useless and I prefer to fork and modify the theme rather than overriding specific files by layering over the theme, it allows me to update to new versions of poison more easily and make the best of git diff and other git functionalities while using file override I have to override a whole code file in order to make even a one line modification
