Benneth correctly remarked that the progress log window is great, but most tools do not feed anything into the window until completed (which can take a long time). It would be great to add little milestones to each of the programs, e.g., when 1 or 10 or 100 files/genes are processed (whatever seems most easy to program) , it gives a short feedback into the log so users can monitor the progress.
