Caret lagging behind #45

When I move the caret around, by clicking or by using the arrow keys, the caret takes some time (up to ~1 second) to actually display at the right place. Happening on firefox 93 running on Windows 10. No issue on chromium 81

Same issue. Ubuntu 20.04, Firefox 93.
