It's a matter of google maps not finding a route to your new location. Although this shouldn't be necessary for use with "Teleport". And because you can't paste new lat/lng values, yes, you can only use locations on your starting continent.
IMHO you can only teleport to locations more or less close by. Try entering latitude and longitude of a place near where you want to go and, once there, enter again the name of the location. I verified that this works, being in Europe and today moving around in Chicago.
How i got around was like this. I'm in the UK so located the coordinates for Central Park in NYC (Latitude‎: ‎40.785091, Longitude‎: ‎-73.968285) as we know we can't copy and paste. What you can do is click in lat/lng fields and type in them. Now, I found I couldn't input the decimal point, so I deleted the first two digits and entered my new ones, I then clicked further along the string of numbers, removed and replaced them. It took a bit of tinkering (if you use the cursor keys it tends to read that as a map move rather than a cursor move) but it is possible - just not neat.
So, stick with it and have a play. Just got the Lunatone that evaded me whilst they were in Europe!
It seems that I can only teleport to North American locations. When I select a non North American location I get the error "Error with Scheduled trip, Zero Results". Is this a matter of adding other map files?
