Disable git actions on per repo basis? #35

Hi, when using this plugin and navigating a really large git repo it causes a huge delay as it appears to be doing a git status every time.

I know it is possible to disable git actions using an env var, but is there any way to disable on a per repo basis?

Hi @asmith-r7 this should be doable but I'm not maintaining this library anymore. I don't own a Mac anymore :(

I'll be happy to merge any PR to add this functionality 👍

Cool, I'll maybe take a look at adding a PR when I get some time then.
