The status of "View | Show cords" is wrong

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start up pychess
2. Click "View" menu. 
3. The status of "Show cords" is selected. But the coordinates are not
showing unless I turn off "Show cords" and turn it again. 

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

As the matter of fact, I would prefer to have a "Preference" menu item 
under "Game" menu to save my options. I want have "Show cords" always on. 

What version of the product are you using?

PyChess_0.6.0_beta5 running on ubuntu 7.04

Did you use an installed version of PyChess or did you run in from a
tarball/svn?

I installed it from unbuntu package.
