Yeah, I know the sidepanel sometimes "grows". This is because the "Comments" 
panel
sometimes need more space.
In you case the grow seams quite extream though.
What does it write in Comments?

Hm, that's rather strange. It doesn't even take up all the space.
After which move did the wideness appear?
Are there any of the other panels which take up all the space?

Ok, finaly i got it. The pb comes from the side panel showing Opening Book view.
In hungarian pychess.po i missed the new line (\n) in the text "In this position
there is no book move."
So the translated string is too long. My bad. Grrrr
