Good start menu, thanks
could you do to completely shut off the metro, with all the Apps?

No, we can't, sorry.
2 points:
1) doing this means destroying important subsystem of Windows 8, which 
contradicts to ideas of Power8;
2) MS did great effort to prohibit such kind of actions, and they will do more, 
and we don't like an idea of fighting every next version/build of Windows 8 
like some of our concurrents must do.
