Icons Do NOT show- February 2020, Icon Path? #41

I have placed my icons in a different directory, but they still should show with the provided path in the card setup. These icons display if I select them inside the directory. I am thinking the weather card is configured to point at the path that's detailed in the install, but I didn't set it up that way (folder/syncing issues). Where in the card file does it specify the icon path?

It is configured (hard-coded) to a specific path. Why don't you just use that path? Note if it's because you can't access the correct path using Samba on Hassio, the default installation of Samba addon hides the icons folder so if you unhide it in the addon settings and restart it then you will be able to put the icons there...

That’s exactly what happened: the icons folder didn’t show up in my samba shares. I thought I was having some sort of sync issue. I was not aware it hides the this folder by default. So I told Samba to show me the icons! Did some moving, restarted, and viola.....they now display properly.

As a suggestion: it would help to add a little note on the repository main page about Samba and icons. I could have saved myself a lot of time.

2 things.... This is not my repo. Second, the owner has abandoned this repo a long time ago.

Given that the owner of this repo hasn't responded to any of the posts in this git's issue tracker since March of 2019, I'd say you're better off using this one instead. https://github.com/bramkragten/weather-card as it is currently being supported and it does work.
