Someone on the internet requested a barebones Photo Library viewer for their special needs son. Sounded like an interesting and simple project, and my two toddlers would benefit from it as well.
This is relatively difficult as we don't know what the next or previous asset is, we just read it live. As such we can't provide a smooth animation transition from one to the other.
A quick solution would be to completely animate one out and then animate the other in. This might look terrible. Especially tricky if the next item is a video.
Apple does it so surely there is a solution! Might have to completely rework the viewer.
Or revert the detail view to not know anything about movement and have the view model do the work.
