Would like to work on this! Consider assigning me this issue!

Add colours to the boxes to differentiate between the boxes of the two players and also the colour of the bg
Add whose turn it is now (X OR O) [have to research on this, currently don't know how to implement]
Maybe add some animations wherever regarding the rules

I have a vast experience in UI/UX for about 2 years now. I can definitely contribute to this project, I can completely transform the way it looks make it more pleasing to the user . Using html tailwind css i can aesthetically improve the appearance of this site . I can add a feature so that the first player get to choose if he wants to choose X or O in the first turn. Footer can be improved in this site .
