I noticed that the striped table background does not appear when I am using
JXTable from the SwingX project.

Okay, we'll work on it.

Dirk, do you have a simple example program that demonstrates the problem? I've
never used JXTable. My simple
test case based on
http://code.google.com/p/seaglass/source/browse/seaglass-demo/trunk/seaglass-
demo/src/com/seaglasslookandfeel/demo/TestTables.java doesn't seem to exhibit
the problem. I just changed
the type of the variable "table" from JTable to JXTable and changed the "new
JTable" to "new JXTable".

OK, I screwed up. It wasn't a table issue, but the fact that I set the
scrollpane's
opacity to false. Interesting though that this didn't affect Ken's
ITunesTableUI class.
You can close this issue.

Wow! Well, if I had a nickel for every time I screwed up I'd be rich.

Google doesn't have a good close status for this, so I'll label it "won't fix".
