I'm making some experiments, tring to figure out what it can be. Today I've tried to solve another problem, OBS opens RTSP with UDP and VLC as well if it' s not forced to TCP by "rtp over rtsp (tcp)". Using TCP your plugin seams not crashing.. but what if a player without control (like an Android TV app) pretends to connect with UDP? May you please introduce an option to accept only TCP connections? Or can we use an argoument to the string to force use TCP? Thank you a lot!
I've tried to block the server UDP port with windows firewall but the remote VLC (Windows) still connect on UDP, I don' tknow how to block this port then.. anyway I've noticed that when I force VLC to TCP ("rtp over rtsp (tcp)") I have some malformed packets, why? (with UDP is ok)
I've tried to block obs outputing UDP packets but seems not possible. I really don't know how to force connect on TCP. There is also the problem with those malformed packets, if they may inflence performances. Thanks for support
Hi, I hope you can help )
Looks I've solved using rtsp simple server, tomorrow I'll test it on Android TV. https://github.com/aler9/rtsp-simple-server
It works and it's finally stable, since it's possible somehow to ptoduce a TCP output I hope you would love to implement it in your plugin, thank you :) Unfortunately rtsp on UDP produces really lot of problems everywhere
Hi mate! I've latest OBS, win7 SP1 and your latest 2.10. Today this pc rebooted in the morning and at startup is loading OBS, I've connected to RTSP with VLC for Android TV, it showed the first image and it crashed, it was not possible to connect more, the connection went timeout, I've tried also with VLC on my PC. Here is the ful obs log:
closed OBS but it was needed to terminate also obs64.exe, restarted it works. I'll try several time to restart. I guess the problem become using VLC for Android TV (updated), it's not the first time.
Thsi is the log now, working:
