user should be able to set an alarm for a certain time. when alarm goes off, should have sound (unless user mutes it) and a separate window should appear (unless desktop has focus...not sure this can be identified, will have to look through docs). if desktop has focus, should be a modal/noticiation popover that appears in the desktop instead.
