v.0.8.9 (mac) stuck on "Finishing Up" #17

I open the app, and most times it just sits on "Finishing Up" for several minutes. I've tried letting it run for over an hour plus, and the app will not finish launching. This is after successful launches (so I know that it can work, but I cannot figure out why/how to stop the app from being stuck...)

Suggestions?

I have the same problem. The best "fix" I've been able to figure out is...if it doesn't finish up in about 3-5 mins, quit and relaunch. Repeat until it works. Sometimes it takes a couple of tries. Sometimes it takes...a lot more.

Oh, and if it gets stuck on "calculating mission success stats for crew" for more than maybe 5-10 seconds, I've found that it will never even get to "Finishing up", so in those cases, I immediately quit and restart.

There's a workaround here that works for the Mac version too.
