I'm curious whether you've tried running the tool on another computer. If the tool works on that other computer, try deleting the folder "Star Trek Timelines Crew Management" in AppData's Roaming folder on your current computer:
C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Star Trek Timelines Crew Management
After deleted, restart the tool and log back in. Fingers crossed, so do mine... Good luck!
I had the same issue and after I deleted the folder and restarted the tool it worked. Hope that will work also for @SkyeQuakeGaming .

Is there an equivalent method to solve this same problem on Mac?
Having same issue with 0.8.8 on Windows 10. Deleting the app data finally worked after several attempts. It took several minutes to resolve before starting and once it came up, all graphics are missing. To clarify: I'm not complaining - thank you for the tip to get it working! Just want to provide the info for anyone in the same boat... or shuttle
No luck for me doing that. Just keeps getting stuck :(
As of two days ago, opening the application shows at stuck at "Loading Player Data" screen. No matter how much times passes does not go past screen.
