Problem with v. 1.8 #88

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Installed 1.8;
2. no visible effect of starting Pomodoiro;
3. Task Manager reveals exe running.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.8 on Windows 7.

Please provide any additional information below.

Might be a problem with AIR runtime, especially if it is coupled to Issue 87. 
If more ppl have encountered this, please raise your voice as I do not have 
access to windows 7.
