AFAK, It is a frequently used tool, not a note manager. Nested Folder, even the snippets/folder is doing too much for a pasteboard tool.
But as a frequently-used tool (and it is!), I find that a single level of organization doesn't quite meet my needs. As much as I use it for frequently-pasted items, I'm finding the need for at least two levels - even just one level of sub-folders would vastly increase its utility.
As an example: Until this year, I had maybe 10 account codes that I would use for purchase orders at work. It was easy enough to just make an "Account Codes" folder and populate it. They're re-doing how our account codes work, though, so now I'm going to have closer to 70 or 80 codes to choose from when doing a PO. They're all grouped by funding source and project type, though, so it'd be great to be able to have a "Funding Source A" folder with 5 or 6 "Project" types as subfolders, with all the individual account codes listed within.
That's just one example from my own work - I imagine others have lots of other scenarios where being able to have at least one level of sub-folder would really help.
I also often feel like I'm lacking sub-folders when using the Snippets at work
Unless I'm mistaken, right now you can only have one level of organization. It'd be really great if I could create a folder containing either clips or other folders of clips/folders. I would think being able to nest two levels deep would probably be sufficient and help to keep things from being too unwieldy, if that was a concern.
