Add character counter #41

It'd be really nice to have a counter to show how many characters are used/remaining in the "Post" field, as there is when you're posting a reply.

There already is one - if it doesn't appear for you, it must be a bug of some kind. Could you send me a screenshot? (You can crop it to just the top part of the UI - grey in the default theme - if you don't want me to see your tweets etc. If you don't have anywhere to host it and link here, please e-mail it to ian@onlydreaming.net) Also, what OS and browser combination do you use?

Ah, I've just had a play and the problem is that I tend to have SuccessWhale in it's own window that's about 25% of the screen's width, to show just one column at a time. When it's this narrow, the counter disappears. I've emailed you a couple of screenshots to demonstrate.

Yeah, it does seem to disappear at narrow widths. I'm working on a "widget mode" UI for a friend's Win 7 desktop gadget that's designed for low widths. Eventually I want to integrate the two together, dynamically changing UI elements depending on width, but at the moment (while I'm playing with it - very slowly and irregularly I'm afraid) you can manually enter widget mode by adding "?widget" on the end of the URL.

(This only works on the test server if you're using my servers, or with the trunk if you're running the code on your own server.)
