I think I've got this pretty much up and running - maybe we can chat about how to set avatars tomorrow?

@ianroberts131 Overall great work on this PR. We'll chat about a couple of things later.

Consider removing the uploaded photos from the repo. These don't need to be stored in the repo. We'll probably also want to add the uploaded photos directory to .gitignore to stop test photos from being saved to the repo in the future.
