It's hard to find the buttons while looking at the TV. Oftentimes I hit an app shortcut by mistake when I'm trying to type using the arrows, which is annoying because I have to start from the beginning
Describe the solution you'd like
Remove the arrows and "Select" button, and probably move the app shortcuts elsewhere. The 3x3 area is left empty for the user to swipe up/down/left/right, or tap once for "Select". I've seen apps like this that when you swipe and hold (don't lift the finger after swipping) then it's like holding the button.

I've tried to implement it myself, and I've tried to be more careful :)
