Both of those seem feasible. There's already an issue for something close to the first one: #395. The second one is trickier to get to happen smoothly as the accessibility API isn't the most responsive thing in the world.
@pehrlich Have you tried this setting for Resizing with mouse?
I'd like to have the ability to disable Focus Follows Mouse with a key. I'd like to hold 'alt' (or w/e) and have no focus changing.
Hi - I'm a long time Zooom/2 user, coming over with the closing of that project. There are two methods I used it heavily:
Focus follows mouse, auto-raising the windows. BUT: only when shift is pressed. This I found very useful for raising a window without being afraid of clicking inside its contents. It would also allow one to hold shift and move the cursor in that direction, allowing it to be raise the moment the mouse goes over. From reading around here, it looks like a modifier key is not supported with this in Amethyst. Could it be?
Resizing with mouse + modifier keys. For example, I could press Cmd + Shift, and the mouse would be anchored to the currently hovered quadrant of the raised/focused window. When moving the mouse with these keys pressed, the distance from the cursor to the window borders would be held constant, allowing a convenient and fast resize.
Would love to see these in Amethyst. Thanks!
