The app shows only the recipes that it decides are easiest to make, and i recently changed the way it decides what's easier.
Previously, it minimized the number of portions of fillings. 4 portions of herbed sausages + 1 rice = 5 portions of fillings, which is less than 6 rice.
Now, it minimizes the total number of pieces of fillings. 4 portions of herbed sausage + 1 rice = 13 pieces of fillings, since each portion of sausage has 3 pieces. 6 rice is fewer total pieces.
I see how there's tradeoffs between the approaches. With the 6 rice recipe, you spend less time going back and forth between the ingredient plates and the sandwich, but there's higher risk of it toppling over. What i might do is try to make it smarter about deciding what's easier by assigning different difficulty scores to each ingredient.
The number of fillings wasn't an issue because chorizo and herbed sausages are easier to stack than 6 rice.
The recipes are now back to not using so much rice and noodles.
For example, a level 2 Water encounter sandwich was 4 herbed sausages, one rice and three cream cheese but it's been removed and the recipes now require a ton of rice. Why make the sandwiches harder to make?
