I've now tried this problem out on my Asus laptop running fully updated Vista
– outlines still missing!

Well, if you don't change the theme it works fine and the light theme is fine.

Version 3.27
Windows 7 Home Premium
Java version : Version 7 Update 21 (build 1.7.0_21-b11)
I'm getting this as well.
Components disappear when I choose Outline Mode.
Theme type has no effect.
Did not have this problem on the previous version of DIYLC I had installed
(3.24).
If I select a component, it still shows up though.
Setting Alpha to 0 does provide the same effect though.

Did you change the theme before it disappeared ?

When I re-installed the application, the component went back in outline.

In my XP I have altered themes but, in my Vista set-up it was a completely
fresh install (not fiddled with themes), and this also shows no outlines. As #4
said, if I click on a component it's outline will now show. I'll do a DIYLC
reinstall in XP and see if that makes a difference.
