For larger slide decks, having a way to generate a summary of the sections with underlying # of slides would be quite useful. Maybe ideally in a sort of SmartArt Hierarchy/List shape. Would be a way to create overview slides or provide info on volume to structure presentations.
Alternatives:
Slide Sorter view can show #slides per section if you collapse all sections.
