Can't open textroom #39

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
In Kubuntu 9.10, everytime I try to run textroom, I get this error:

"QObject::startTimer: QTimer cannot have a negative interval
Unable to initialize audio: No available audio device"

No matter what I change in systemsettings audio section, It just doesn't
work. Is there a fix?

I checked out the sources from SVN and I know can run textroom, but I have no
sound
when I type. :\

The SVN doesn't have the most recent source. That is only included in the
.tar.gz in
the downloads section.

No? So, I can't use the latest version because it simply doesn't start. It
displays
the error in the first comment.

"QObject::startTimer: QTimer cannot have a negative interval
Unable to initialize audio: No available audio device"

I'm currently working on some bugfixes for textroom on my own. It has fixes for
the
sound issues I had, maybe that'll work for you. Source can be found here:

Hi ShadowIce, if you want to send any patches, you are welcome. I hardly find
time to
fix things.

Apparently, Qt on Kde has issues. I don't understand why.

Thanks for the reports all.

Please try the 0.6.1. Sound should have come back.
