The same problem here. I'm definitely connected to the network, but there is no
reaction from both the PC or client application (e.g. not even any error
message etc.); I'm running Debian linux / Android 1.6 on HTC Tattoo.

OS: Windows 7. Phone: HTC Desire.
Same problem. I enter 10.0.0.1 (the IP the app gives me). The pad and
mousebuttons (with a keyboard icon between them) shows on my screen. I'm
running the server app on my PC. Nothing happens. I tried running the server
before starting the app, and vise versa.

Great, I can answer my own question, and maybe it's the same answer for the

Disable your firewall. (I feel so stupid...)

I have the same problem but firewall is down. using android 2.1 from samsung
galaxy mini and RemoteDroid 1.4.
server ip shown is 127.0.1.1 and I wonder how can it works like that...
netstat -nap shows no LISTENING process.
any suggestion?
