slow opening archives with many links inside #158

The program takes ages to show the list of files when the packge contains many links, and small files like icon themes.

For example: https://www.xfce-look.org/p/1678986 this 4mb innocent file keeps xarchiver processing more than a minute. No matter if the container is xz, tgz or zip, the wait is still excessive

Not true, actually. I have found, installed and tested Xarchiver on xfce4-archlinux, and it listed a 5G zst archive in 3 seconds, on Dell Precision 3510. Please provide more details about your bug.

Its not about file size but about amount of files within the archive. Xarchiver doesnt scale well with the number of files.

Try opening these files and compare them against another software like Ark or Gnomes' archiver (the last one has near instant opening times in my experience. Ark does too but it usually takes 1-2 seconds more than Gnome's):

https://www.xfce-look.org/p/1678986 --> Deepin2022.tar.xz https://www.xfce-look.org/p/1546069 ---> Win11.tar.xz CLICK IN THE FILES TAB and download the package

I can confirm that it takes an unusually long time for xarchiver to open the archive, and I will look into this as soon as I find the time to do so.
