Offer to help maintain vim plugin #4

Open alerque opened 4 years ago

alerque commented 4 years ago

Please see #3 for background on my initial involvement with this plugin and suggestions for what maintenance I think should happen. Given that background...

I'm fully aware how OSS contributions go and note that you (@ibab) haven't been very active lately. While I do think it's ideal to get all the forks of this integrated and the best / cleanest features kept, it's possible you don't have the bandwidth to take care of that right now or might not even be interested in maintaining this right now.

If that's the case, I'd be happy to help. I have some experience maintaining other people's vim plugins. I've am the primary active maintainer of nerdcommenter, tagbar, vim-ledger, vim-pencil (& friends), as well as co-maintainer on vim-pandoc, vim-pandoc-syntax, vim-criticmarkup, and a contributor to many others — not to mention my own originals like vim-sile.

If you would like to add me to this repo with some maintainer privileges I'd be happy to get the ball rolling on the steps suggested in the PR liked above.

Hey, sorry for the late response. I've sent you a collaborator invite. I'd also be happy to transfer the repo to you if you're interested.

@ibab Thanks for the add and offer to transfer. I might consider that if other options don't open up, but I actually think the best all around outcome for the ecosystem would be to transfer this into the snakemake org namespace. See the above linked proposal to that effect.
