Accept pooled data with mean and se? #1

What to do with means and se and n values, but not individual level data from published papers?

Option 1) Use only the mean as one value (force n= 1)

Option 2) reverse engineer the mean and se to n = x values assuming a normal distribution?

Option 3) nothing
