PanTHERIA, species level for mammals. Their wiki and publication.

TRY, containing traits for plants. But it may be the case that some end users search for trait data on nutritious plants, hosts for plant parasites, herbivore taxa, etc. Home page and publication.

http://ecotaxonomy.org/ Apparently started for soil-invertebrate taxa in Indonesia but seems to aim for a wider geographical scope. Seems solid.
