Use single folder #82

I would like that instead of showing me all the bookmarks and folders in my bookmarks bar, to only select a single folder, or maybe 2 folders, and have those side by side.

I have more than 40 folders, and sooo many bookmarks (and therefore a lot of scrolling to do), so having just a curated list (which is synchronized through all my machines, since its just a simple folder) would be really awesome!

I believe you can just drag a folder out of the bookmarks list into its own column, that's what I do.

I'm sorry, but for me that just doest work. Dragging and dropping a folder in the new tab (over the plugin, ofc) either does nothing, or opens all the bookmarks in that folder.

Perhaps I am misunderstanding then... is this what you want to do?

OOOOOOH, i got it now: I have to drag and drop a folder from inside the HNTP window to a "new column" and NOT from firefox's own bookmarks toolbar.

Took me a while to figure that one out. Thanks a lot for showing me the "for dummies" video explanation @Pixelrobin.

Could this little trick be added to the documentation maybe? it's a really neat one :D

I'm planning to revamp the editing UI to make it more intuitive, I know it's not obvious currently.

another thing you can do is add a tips&tricks/howto page right inside the settings page, where I could just press next, next, next to read everything
