While following Step 3: to create the CIS load balancer I was not able to get past step 3.7 to create the global load balancer until I created the origin pool (Step 3.8 and 3.9).
If you follow the steps under Step 3 with no origin pool you will get an error when clicking 'Create'. The error states that a default route must be created. Even if you add a default route, there are no origin pools for that route and you get the same error stating a default route must be created.
If you perform steps 3.8 and 3.9 first, then steps 3.1 through 3.7 will work fine
