[Question]: adapter is deprecated? #59

This is more of a question than an issue.

I'm currently evaluating this adopter to protect my web applications deployed to Istio and I see that app-identity-and-access-adopter is currently listed as deprecated on Istio Docs. Wondering if that's a mistake as this repo is being maintained actively.

I'd like to second this question, is this going to be deprecated with Istio 1.5?

I am also evaluating this adapter and mentioned above, with the Mixer component deprecation, is this adapter also not applicable for istio 1.5? @sandmman

The current version of the adapter will be deprecated in istio 1.7. We have plans to make it compatible with the latest format.

Hello, @ishangulhane Is there ongoing work to make the adapter compatible with the new Istio format? Any working group docs/link would be useful. Thanks

@ishangulhane , we are evaluating this product to use with istio, since mixer configuration model is deprecated If we implement OIDC with this adapter. how easy it is for us to migrate our apps to new ibm appid model to be compatible with istio 1.7

Any group docs/link would be useful as mentioned by @SachinVarghese

@TalAviel can you provide some information on the current App ID Istio Adapter?

@r-kotagudem 1.7 is not supported. Future support is planned, however we do not currently have an outlook on when this functionality will become available.

This issue / question is still open but no recent activity. Is there any updates / plans to make the adapter compatible with the latest Istio versions?
