I'm not sure if this library is deployed to Sonatype Central repository properly.
I think I ran into this problem when trying to import this library recently. Or perhaps the maven coordinates in the README are not correct. Need to make sure. This should be taken care of after we split up the repository (assuming that we choose to do so).
We could also make small test code that builds and runs a local Java/Scala project that imports packages from Sonatype Central repository (and SNAPSHOT).
