You should be able to run Ped but you need an older version of Python. I was
just running Ped 2.30.5 beta against Python 1.4.5 on a N97 Mini. Both Python
and Ped complained they weren't compatible but it works anyway. I noticed a
lack of kinetic lists though and had to use the arrow keys to navigate.

I have the same problem.
Can you re-package and re-release to work with the Official Python 2.0 release?

I will be more than happy to donate to get PED working with Python 2.0. Any
news from the developer??

In my Nokia E90 Python 2.0.0 is installed, but when trying to install ped
2.30.5 beta it says 'Component Python for S60 is missing'. Python however is
working via the installed Python 2.0.0 application. I can do things in an
interactive session.
What can I do about this? Should I use another version of the editor and/or of
Python for S60?

Ped 2.30.5 beta does seem to work with the Python 1.4.5 final release on my
Nokia E90!
