I read that Crossrunner is described as a sub-cycle accurate machine and that MAME is cycle accurate. Should the CPU usage difference really be that vast though?
With MAME on an intel core 2 duo with all settings at default sitting at the moving apple boot screen, the CPU usage is about 16%. With Crossrunner set at the lowest setting of 1 Mhz it is over 55% and goes up from there as you increase the CPU speed.
