Can OCAT manage derivative versions of OpenCore? For example, some modified versions based on OC? #203

Sure. OCAT provides a management channel for some OpenCore-based modifications, and you can consider these OpenCore derivatives as a special kind of development version of OpenCore. The procedure is as follows.

  1. Switch to the OpenCore development version via the "Edit" menu.
  2. In "Upgrade OC and Kexts UI", select "Import" a derivative of another OpenCore.
  3. Synchronize the OC and save the configuration file.

Currently, there are some OC enthusiasts who have made some derivative versions based on OC. If you happen to be one of these enthusiasts, you may want to try to adopt OCAT to manage these derivative versions of OC.

Sorry, I don't know much about this one either. I just know that there are OC enthusiasts who are doing this. OCAT just provides a way to manage these derivative versions.

Derivative versions means Opencore with new functionality or only with different icons graphics? Because it is advisable to use only OpenCore Acidhantera master release in my opinion for functionality(imho) Icons set is a different story

There is information about this issue inside, but it is in Chinese, does not seem to be published on GitHub, and is not internationalized, so it may not be suitable for you.

There's another one, but it hasn't been updated for a long time and is no longer worth using.
