EDIT Saw the issue in #208 and #210 and will try some things I read there. Seems that most people have issues with connectivity and signal strenght to the closes plejd device.

I had this issue since installing plejd on my raspberry pi 4. I waited for version 10 to see if my problem would be resolved but it seem I still have this issue. I have tried the recommended power cycle of the BT device but it doesnt help. Earlier had the plejd gateway but its now disconnected from the system and is not powered.

I have read that more people experience the same problem and wonder if I could get a few pointers to how I can solve this,

I am using the built in BT that comes with the Rasp. Is that supposed to work or do I need to buy a USB BT adapter? If so, could I get a recommendation on which to get?

This line in the log file. 2023-08-22 18:03:10 ERR [plejd-ble] Discovery timeout elapsed, no devices found. Starting reconnect loop... Could it be as simple as range? IE is the Raspberry pi to far away? At the moment I cant move it to try.

I would very much like some assistance with this so that I can finally use the HA as I want. Also I would buy you the largest cup of coffe you'd ever seen!

How far is the first Plejd device from your Raspberry Pi?

In my case I've had to buy an USB extension cable and an external Bluetooth adapter to get it to work, since I'm using the USB3 port on my Raspberry Pi.

I moved the pi like 50cm closer to the closest Plejd and works now.
