Palaeographical research would be make detailed descriptions of the script used, e.g. reference to a canonical name for the script, extract alphabets, describe feature of single hands etc. Currently this would just be a comment with a heading (e.g. expressed with <cei:p n="Palaeography"> (see #543) which introduces a leading text to the comment. In this the describer could use index terms to introduce controlled vocabularies. This would not allow to assign cei:handshift markup to this description (where you can identify a @hand).
