Dashboard and Openstack Configuration #4

Hi ,

I have installed the DASHBOARD but I would not say it was a successful installation because :

1- I changed the DASHBOARD_ADMIN and DASHBOARD_PASSWORD variable , but after the install default DASHBOARDADMIN and pass1234 password still used to login .

2- After login at the dashboard I was not able to create a new user or change the current user password . Or either access the user profile or settings .

3- When I tried to configure the Openstack authentication with the default admin user for initial testing the result is error .

Any tips to solve that problem

Hi Saulo,

First of all I would like to clarify that the Dashboard is currently working with the Old code releases. Cyclops 2.0 is not yet supported in the dashboard.

Responding to your questions, if the DASHBOARDADMIN user have been created is because the installation was done with those credentials in the configuration file in the first installation. If you run the installation for the first time with different parameters in the configuration file, the default account won't be created.

At the moment Dashboard only provides support for creating, deleting or granting admin rights to the user, changing the password is not yet supported.

Regarding the OpenStack Authentication, you need your actual OpenStack credentials, and this shouldn't end up being an error as far as you got the configuration file correctly set. However what you could do is check the logs that Dashboard is sending to /var/log/cyclops/dashboard.log and then we could help you figuring out what the problem is.
