The code is correct when the neutrino sources are 'weak', i.e. a signal expectation of <<1 event in IceCube. But in practice, in interesting simulations, there's typically at least a source (or many!) in which the signal expection is not <<1.
This script is probably confusing. It's better for users to run Firesong.py instead.
