the local luminosity function of x-ray AGN is well approximated by a broken powerlaw (e.g. eq. 30 of https://arxiv.org/pdf/1503.01120.pdf) with different slopes for the faint and bright ends of the population.
I'd volunteer to contribute an implementation after https://github.com/icecube/FIRESONG/issues/70 is resolved.
