Ask the requester for documentation, otherwise, the codes are ok
Additional info from the requester:
METCX ODBRCl2: The method for the Mercury-Pretreatment (Oxidative digestion with BrCl2 followed by reduction with ZnCl2) is based on the method: US-EPA-1631 Revision E: Mercury in Water by Oxidation, Purge and Trap, and Cold Vapor Atomic Fluorescence Spectrometry; August 2002
METOA XRFTR: The analytical method "XRFTR" ist documented in the deutsche Norm: DIN 51003:2004-05 Totalreflektions-Röntgenfluoreszenz-Analyse (TXRF) - Allgemeine Grundlagen und Begriffe Englisch title: DIN 51003:2004-05 Total reflection x-ray fluorescence - Principles and definitions
And yes: We need a new code in the REFSK as well.
New METCX code ‘ODBRCL2‘ created for the Oxidative digestion with BrCl2, and suggested using together with the METPS ‘DS-ZNCL‘ (Density separation - ZnCl2). METOA code ‘XRFTR’ is created as well.
New REFSK would get a separate issue when/if requested
Comments by the requester:
Consulted with Martin Larsen, who suggests that reporting of REFSK alone could be sufficient. For more detailed data reporting he suggested METPS GLS for gas-liquid separation. If needed, specific codes for agents as SnCl2 can be made. ZnCl2 is not correct by the reported method.
German submitter requested new method codes : Code Type: METOA https://vocab.ices.dk/?ref=173 Code: XRFTR Description: Total Reflection X-ray Fluorescence.
Code Type: METCX https://vocab.ices.dk/?ref=202 Code: ODBRCL2 Description: Oxidative digestion with BrCl2 followed by reduction with ZnCl2
