The RDBES data license group had a meeting earlier this month but they were not yet able to make a concrete proposal for changes required to the RDBES restricted data license. Therefore there is currently nothing for the DIG data license review group to review. I’ve asked Henrik K-N to keep me updated on their progress and I’ll organise a meeting once we have something to discuss.

The WGRDBESGOV group met in December and proposed some changes to their restricted license. I will forward these changes to the DIG sub-group for comments and review.

We'll review these proposed changes in a sub-group during the DIG meeting, at the same time as a review of the ICES Data Policy (#527 )

The WGRDBESGOV gave an update on the progress of the RDBES license. It has been presented and discussed within the RCG. There are 2 main outstanding topics that have not been agreed yet: i) Confidentiality rules related to landings and effort data, ii) confidentiality rules relating to "sensitive" sample data such as bycatch and discards. There is a workshop planned to pick up these topics. Once agreement has been reached then the license changes will come to DIG for review.
