Opportunity	Adoption of new technology can lead to interest in ICES from new scientists and potential partners, it can also make work easier in the long run. This applies to technology in the broadest sense, eg. dominant programming language, use of exchange platforms (SharePoint, GitHub), online meeting facilities, machine learning.

Impact I deemed medium because while new tech advances can lead to significant change, it is human behaviours related to the tech and human choices behind it's use that has more impact.

Likelihood I deemed high because the adoption of new tech has been happening for years and will continue to happen.
