-Recognize the user needs
- SFD products as spatial web services: WMS, WFS and/or ESRI REST API's. Currently only distributed as zip files .
- Creation of web solutions upon these web data layers to facilitate : data access, mapping , query/data insights: no-code web solutions such dashboards, story maps, etc.
- Use of teh API's in the TAF analysis. best practise on use web spatial layers api's for data retrieval or analysis in API's server side ( e.g. intersections , etc)
-Structure of the different components:
- interoperability of the data with R , python and other GIS software such QGIS
The ICES Spatial facility needs an update as it is getting old and the technologies behind it are becoming outdated . ICES Spatial Facility It would be useful to have some members of DIG involved in the process and provide feedback along the way of the development.
The feedback should focus on: -Recognize the user needs -Outreach -Structure of the different components -Connections to the other portals -Testing
