In the DIG 2023 report https://doi.org/10.17895/ices.pub.23641119.v1 there is a recommendation on setting up a Governance group for Oceanographic Data.
“DIG recommends that a Governance group for Oceanographic Data is created with ToR related to guidance and review of the Oceanographic Data Portal at ICES. The Governance Group should include members from ICES Data Centre, DIG, Working Group on Oceanic Hydrography (WGOH), Working Group on Operational oceanographic products for fisheries and environment (WGOOFE). Recommended participants from ICES Data Centre is Hjalte Parner, from DIG is Helge Sagen and Mark Hebden. Suggested ToR are: Advise on recommendations and requests from expert groups (submitters and end-users) related to Oceanographic database Ensure that information on Oceanographic database is easily available and accessible for data submitters as well as end-users Provide insight in changes in the resubmitted data and products in Oceanographic database.”
